St. Jerome School Board

St. Jerome School instituted a Board of Specified Jurisdiction to help navigate the school’s success in an evolving and increasingly competitive marketplace.

The Board’s goal is to focus on school sustainability with individual members lending specific professional expertise to help address specific issues, challenges and goals facing the school. The Board is composed of committees to provide direction and decision-making in the areas of financial management, marketing and enrollment, fundraising and accountability.

Responsibility for day-to-day operation of the school, including curriculum, student and parent issues and oversight of faculty and staff will remain with the school’s current administration.

The St. Paul and Minneapolis Archdiocese partnered with the Healey Education Foundation through its signature initiative. The Healey Education Foundation is a non-profit organization whose mission is to sustain and grow Catholic schools by “helping schools help themselves.” The foundation provides board training and ongoing support to make the board as effective as possible.

Paul Whitebread - Board Chair - Class of 1970

I was happy to join the new St. Jerome’s Board of Directors as I saw it as an opportunity to give back to an institution that has given so much to me and my entire family. My parents joined the parish in 1955 and were continuous active and supportive members. I am pleased and honored to act as Chairman of our board having an opportunity to support the community and work with a group of talented and motivated individuals committed to the Mission of St. Jerome School. I currently reside in the state of Virginia and am retired from the Defense Aerospace industry. I’ve had the pleasure to support several volunteer organizations in leadership roles include professional associations and a major credit union. I’m excited about the future of St. Jerome School in service to our diverse student body and pleased to be a part of the team!

Mary Gaertner - Development Chair - Class of 1970

Hello, my name is Mary Gaertner. I am excited about this new opportunity on the school board to give back to community that was the foundation for many things to come in my life. My parents joined the Parish in 1959. I am the oldest of six siblings that all attended St Jerome’s. I look forward to getting reacquainted with both old and new friends on this journey. I have very fond memories of St Jerome’s and am excited to be a part of helping facilitate similar memories for current and future students. Go Lions!

Gabrielle Healy - Secretary

I was so excited when approached with the opportunity to join the St. Jerome Board of Directors. Principal Anne Gattman is my aunt and I have been with her on her journey with St. Jerome from the outside and I now feel very blessed to serve St. Jerome alongside her. I grew up in Catholic schools and truly believe in the foundation a Catholic education puts in place. I then studied at Marquette University for my undergrad and am now working for a Wisconsin based marketing and print company. I am looking forward to getting to know the St. Jerome community and honored to be working with so many talented individuals.

Rosann Klutzke - Finance Chair

I am part of the new St. Jerome’s School Board. My husband and I joined the parish in 1980 soon after we moved into the Twin Cities and as we planned our wedding, we were looking for a parish to join and to raise the family that we were planning. We have been active in the parish since we joined in early 1980. We raised four children, all of which attended St. Jerome School and went on to complete their High School at Hill Murray or Cretin Derham Hall. I served on the St. Jerome Education Board for many years and chaired the budget subcommittee of the Board. I also coached the 5th through 8th grade Math Teams while my children were at the school – approximately 15 years. For my career, I worked at 3M as a statistical consultant. In that role, I taught many adults the statistical tools needed to make their jobs more effective. I have a passion for helping all students excel especially in the areas of math and science. I look forward to continuing to support St. Jerome in ways that utilize my skills and talents.

Richard Janke - Facilities Chair

When I was asked if I was interested in participating on the Board, it did not take me long to say yes. I love the Christian values that St Jerome's stands for and fosters. I currently work as a Sr. Project Manager for an automation and controls integrator and have many years of electrical engineering experience. I am married to my beautiful wife Renata and have four children, three of whom went through the Roseville school system and we currently have a 7-year boy enrolled at St Jerome's. I was raised in St. Paul with three brothers and currently live two blocks from the school. I am using my diverse background as the Chair of the Facilities team to help St Jerome's grow for the future.
